Ecological Garden Design

Garden design projects combine a contemporary design style with a naturalistic and wildlife-friendly foundation - all projects begin with a baseline ecological appraisal, ensuring an increase in biodiversity on every garden we work on. This is a design-only service: Tom prepares the design and is happy to work alongside a contractor of your choosing to bring the project to life, with our own team of course happy to carry out the planting phase and aftercare if required.

As a garden designer working across Glasgow, Tom provides services for private clients looking for contemporary design and naturalistic planting rooted in best practice environmental horticulture. Tom specialises in designing biodiverse, plant-oriented gardens, and having spent many years as a gardener and landscape maintenance contractor before qualifying in garden design, he brings a holistic and pragmatic approach to help you get the very best out of your outdoor space. Tom is a Chartered Horticulturist, Master of Horticulture (RHS), award-winning garden designer and qualified ecological surveyor.

Garden design fees are fixed, agreed upfront, and paid in transparent instalments through the design process, so you know the cost regardless of the scale of your project. Once the design is complete, you're free to bring in your own contractor, and Tom can carry out project monitoring visits during the build to make sure the design is realised as intended. Tom and his team can then carry out the planting, and remain available for ongoing aftercare.

Design and consultancy services are available principally in Glasgow, Edinburgh and across the central belt, with projects further afield also taken on, including internationally.
